Anne Scanlon
Anne Scanlon hails from the tree lined suburbs of Brisbane, and loves a variety of mediums including, oils, acrylics, and pastels.  Influenced as a tiny thing by grandparents who encouraged a love of painting, drawing, gardening and plants, Anne captures in detail the things in our surrounds easily overlooked. Her painting has become her way of sharing to a larger audience the frequent phrase of "look at this!!".
In a world bombarded with information and noise, Anne hopes in her art to allow a place for the eye to rest and refresh. Always fascinated by the role of botanical art throughout history, Anne has strong elements of fineness and articulation in her floral pieces that aim to delight and endure.
